Figura Console Table

The Figura Console is a piece about the meeting point, that moment where leg meets top, where one material surrenders to another, and where most furniture design either glosses over the junction entirely or resolves it with something purely functional. Here, that junction is the design. Four sharply faceted corner brackets, machined to a geometric precision that catches the dark finish with a jeweller’s exactness, clasp the stone top at each corner with a quality that references the settings of precious stones in fine metalwork, the steel holding the limestone with the same considered grip that a bezel holds a gem. The legs themselves taper with an almost knife like sharpness from these angular brackets to their slender points at the floor, their flat faces finished in a deep, painted dark blackened bronze that gives the piece a cool, authoritative darkness of considerable presence. The Jura Blue Grey limestone top, with its subtle, blue tinged grey tones and fine fossil-flecked surface, is a stone of real distinction and geological beauty, its quiet, complex character the perfect counterpoint to the precision of the metalwork beneath.
