Hammered Brone Console Table

Where the Rectangular Smooth Console speaks in a quieter voice, its hammered twin turns up the volume considerably, the same precise, disciplined frame of four legs and a clean apron, but every surface now covered in an allover dimpled texture that has been worked by hand across every face and edge, giving the piece an entirely different character and presence. The geometry remains uncompromising and the proportions identical, but the hammered surface transforms the light entirely, where the smooth version reflects cleanly and calmly, this one breaks light into a thousand shifting points that animate the bronze finish throughout the day, the deep flamed tones moving between rich dark brown and warmer amber highlights in a constant, living play of surface and shadow. Together the two consoles make a compelling pair, demonstrating how profoundly surface treatment alone can alter the mood and personality of a single form, one cool and considered, the other warm and tactile.
