Beauchamp Console Table

The Beauchamp Console rewards the eye that travels to the floor, where the crossed oval stretcher connecting the four legs at their base reveals the design’s finest detail and deepest classical roots.

Two slender rods cross and overlap in an elongated oval form, gathered at the crossing point with a small collar that holds the composition together with jeweller’s precision. This detail draws from the great tradition of English and French neoclassical furniture, where the stretcher was never merely structural but always an opportunity for considered decorative expression.

The four textured legs taper from an apron to slender shafts and fine points at the floor. Finished in bitumen on brown, the warm, mottled gold catches the hammered texture with considerable richness and complexity.
