The Pelham Console draws inspiration from the De Stijl movement, the radical idea that horizontal and vertical elements, arranged with asymmetric tension, could generate visual energy more dynamic than representation.

The base is a labyrinth of flat rectangular bars, stepping and intersecting at varying heights in an entirely asymmetric yet resolved composition. From different angles, the relationships shift and change, creating new compositions of positive and negative space.

Finished in flamed bronze, the dark, warm tones give the graphic geometry richness and material weight grounded in craft. The long limestone top floats above with serene composure.

All pieces from our Somerset studio, are handmade to order to your exact specifications and available in bespoke sizes with a choice of finishes and tops.
